    DL Plan/McCargo

So, McCargo seems to be playing better, making some plays. So what if we dump Tripplet, Dump the cover 2 and go out and sign the biggest, fattest and good DT on the FA market, or in the draft, and overnight go from one of the worst D-lines to one of the better D-lines?

We'd still need 2 good ends.

I am thinking that a Fatboy d tackle could open things up for the ends Matthew.

I agree. A good push up the middle with a couple of:fat::fat: would open it up for our speedy ends.

            I don't. Unless it's garbage time.

What about the 2 undersized white guys playing at both ends?

I think AS would be fine on one end. But we could upgrade at the other end. That's an understatement.

Our DE's are fine. We need the pocket to collapse up the middle to flush out the qb's and our high Motor ( ) DE's will get to them.

                      Keep it simple.

Get rid of EVERY DT not named McCargo before 2008.

fans are happy right now to see McCargo make a tackle here and there

he hasn't played like a 1st rounder to this point

and whitner is nothing out of the ordinary either

Whitner is running around in coverage for 5 minutes while Brady takes a stroll around the pocket.

But he's showing signs, and that's the point.

Churchinski: Mario Williams didn't look like a #1 pick either last year in his first year as a starter. (Now, on the other hand, Haloti Ngata did, but I've hawked for him for a while.) My point is that sometimes it takes a while for a defensive player to develop and to get used to NFL offensive lines.

I say: keep McCargo, possibly Williams as well if only in rotation/backup. Dump Tim Anderson like a sack of rotten potatoes-- he's absolute garbage. Let Tripplett go. Then get a big fat run-stuffer to play opposite McCargo.

P.S. HHURRICANE: What does race have to do with anything? Are you implying blacks are better NFL players than whites?
