So, McCargo seems to be playing better, making some plays. So what if we dump Tripplet, Dump the cover 2 and go out and sign the biggest, fattest and good DT on the FA market, or in the draft, and overnight go from one of the worst D-lines to one of the better D-lines?

Re: DL Plan/McCargo
Churchinski: Mario Williams didn't look like a #1 pick either last year in his first year as a starter. (Now, on the other hand, Haloti Ngata did, but I've hawked for him for a while.) My point is that sometimes it takes a while for a defensive player to develop and to get used to NFL offensive lines.
I say: keep McCargo, possibly Williams as well if only in rotation/backup. Dump Tim Anderson like a sack of rotten potatoes-- he's absolute garbage. Let Tripplett go. Then get a big fat run-stuffer to play opposite McCargo.
P.S. HHURRICANE: What does race have to do with anything? Are you implying blacks are better NFL players than whites?
