Most NHL teams have similar questions when they enter a new season, mainly having to do with offseason signings and rookie contributions. The Buffalo Sabres (http://sports.yahoo.com/nhl/teams/buf/;_ylt=ArdzB6jzaU195giPEa_fRS7ovrYF), however, enter the 2007-08 season wondering if the failure to sign two players will see them regress, or whether they can transcend those losses and maintain the high level of performance their fans have come to expect over the last two seasons.
