Was That The Last of Losman?

If Edwards comes in and even plays EQUAL to what JP plays, even wins against the Jets, shows he can manage the game just as well as JP has...I think last Sunday was the last time that JP will be a starter for the Bills.

    Here's the reasoning:

    1. If Edwards plays just as well as JP or better in the next few games, there is no reason to yank him out.

    2. This is JP's contract year. Guess who makes the decision to pay him big bucks to stay after this season? Good ol' Ralphie. Who do you think he'll choose? The cheap rookie, or the somewhat pricey JP Losman...and this is if play is equal, and one can state at this point it's going to be very difficult to play WORSE than Losman has, I mean, Edwards will have to put up a Grossman-esque game.

All signs thus far are pointing that JP may be never coming back to start as our QB.

    If Edwards plays well.

win or lose, Losman is done.

JP will always be an up/down QB. Good games.. Terrible games.
sub. 500 QB.. Thats what he is

JP is going to find it hard to get the same contract he signed as a rookie.

        Define "well".

Better than JP? The same as JP? What has JP done so far...has he really set the bar high for Edwards that during a game we'll say "Oh, well JP wouldve made THAT throw!"?

I think it's hard to think Edwards will do worse than JP because thus far...JP hasn't done anything. Edwards led a scoring drive, went 5/5 in the opening drive. Already he has shown more than JP has.

It will take more than one game.

First time starters often look better their first 1-3 games because the other teams have no (or little) film on them.

Remember Scott Mitchell, Joe Dufek, Bruce Mathison, etc?

This week is actually very insignifcant for Edwards' future.

But to the Lickers this game would have told us everything we needed to know about JP. That's of course if JP played well. If he didn't then the Dallas game would be the true test.

Are you telling me that you think its an ADVANTAGE for a rookie kid to be starting because the other team doesn’t have game film on him?

Forget about not knowing the offense as well, or never have felt that fourth quarter pressure before.

Edwards doesn’t have ANY advantages right now. He’s on a bad team.

Troy Aikman never got that memo about having it easier either. He went 1-10 his first year starting with twice as many INTS as TDs.

I’d be MUCH MORE inclined to say it would be more insignificant if he struggled as opposed if he played well.

If JP wanted to show something, he shouldve shown it Sept 9th against Denver. We should have won that game.

I don't think it's the last of JP on this team. I highly doubt he'll lose his job due to injury unless Edwards plays amazing, which I doubt he'll do with the playcalling from Fairchild.

Idont think Jauron or Fairchild have EVER had confidence in JP, and if Edwards play reasonably well I think they continue to play him.

                    Im happy about that too

You are INSANE. They gave him the job last year and stuck with him while he struggled instead of jumping the gun and benching him. That right THERE proves they had CONFIDENCE in JP.

It was either JP, Holcomb, or Nall. Not much of a choice if you ask me.

Yeah really... when JP came in off the bench against the Patriots he immediately threw an interception.

The way this season is going, i don't see JP losing his starting job.
But honestly at this point i don't care if he does or not. i like the kid, but i want a few wins. Whoever can get the job done is ok in my book.

We are completely decimated by injuries. i don't ever remember a season like this before. It's atrocious.
