Now that we have most of the right pieces...

Are you confident with the men who call the plays?

There were some boneheaded moves last season iin regards to play calling, 4th and 2 from the 32.

It's one thing to have a great talent on the field, but you can't do much with them if teh coaching staff is somewhat incompetent.

The best offense is a good defense-Mel, the cook from "Alice."

Seriously though, the defensive side has 4 guys who have coordinating experience and 2 guys with head coaching experience. The offensive side has 2 guys with coordinating experience AND head coaching experience.

I am. I think GW learned from them. Maybe this year there will be less critical decisions to make.

I agree, I think we will see much improvement in play calling.

The only thing I am really worried about is KG making the mistake of calling to many pass plays

GW did improve on his red flag challenges from year 1 to year 2.

I'm hoping the biggest coaching decisions will be whether or not to 'run up the score' in the fourth quarter to stick it to our opponents or let them leave with a shred of dignity intact.

                  Good response Crinoline.

That would be a good decision to make. Of course if it is any AFCE opponent, the option would be to stick it to them.

I have to agree wiht SoCal. I have Zero faith in our coaching staff.

GW, I think he is just too slow to comprehend the WHOLE aspect of the game

KG, I think he gets nervous too quickly when we get down by even just a field goal, and starts throwing the ball 80% vs. 20%

Gray? I am willing to give him a chance, but I don't think he will make a smooth transition, I would rather have had Lebeau as DC.

I am pessimistic about our staff.

Even the Pres. of the U.S. is as good as the people he surrounds himself with. I am confident now that GW has experienced coaches to help him out.

Gregg Williams is gonna have a super bowl ring within the next 2 years he is a great coach. He had to contend with alot of dead cap space the last couple of years. I dont think Vince Lombardi could have got them a better record with that much of cap jail.

GW is a good defensive coach with a proven track record. The talent just wasn't there until now. The players have always given him their all and that's what a head coach does. He doesn't make the offensive calls, KG does and is decent. I don't always agree with the calls but don't forget that some are audibled. Not saying anything against Drew, it's like that with all strong armed QB's. Sometimes they see things that aren't always there due to over confidence in their arm. The 46 D has been successful in years passed and will be again. Add that to Lebeau throwing in his little creation, the zone blitz, and some other schemes I'm sure they're already working on and the offense should end up with good field position. It's gonna be a fun year. We just need June 1 and the draft to create some depth on the lines.
