Sabres bringing back Goo Goo Dolls song at the beginning of TV telecasts

Everyone remembers the Goo Goo Dolls song at the beginning of the playoffs when the Sabres were on MSG right? Well the Sabres announced today that they're bringing back the Goo Goo Dolls song and will be at the start of every MSG telecasts. The Sabres say that there e-mail has been packed with requests from Sabres fans to bring back the song.

Also because of the new ten year deal that the Sabres signed with MSG instead of getting their own channel to broadcast the games Rick Jeanneret will no longer have to plug the Knicks, MSG Sportsdesk and the Boomer Esiason Show or any other MSG show he will do only Buffalo plugs he will plug restaurants around the Buffalo area such as Dave and Buster's, Tully's, Buffalo Wild Wings, Pearl Street Grill & Brewery and other sponsors that you see on the boards at Sabres games. The biggest sponsor this year for the Sabres will be BC&BS of WNY.

exactly. I get pumped up and excited with "Rock you like a hurricane." It's alot more upbeat and exciting. The Goo Goo Dolls song sounds sad and lame. :ill:

Plus, it didn't bring good luck against the Senators. :doh:

I know what you prefer Mikey, but it's time for a change. Personally, I have a hard time getting pumped for the Sabres while listening to 'Rock You Like A Hurricane' after that disgusting playoff series.

yeah, well....that is exactly why I have a hard time getting pumped by the Goo Goo Dolls song. Because of last year's playoff series. They just began it last year and it was supposed to get the players and fans more excited, but the product on the ice sucked. They blew against the Senators and really weren't that good in the series before that. :sigh:
