Everett's locker is cleared: For two weeks, injured tight end Kevin Everett's stall in the Bills' locker room remained unchanged, but due to a space crunch with all the new players who have joined the team, the Bills had to reassign his space.

Offensive guard Brad Butler now occupies that locker.

"He's definitely not forgotten; we'll never forget about him," said Robert Royal. "We only have so much locker space, and with a lot of new guys coming in, we have to make space for guys.''

Coach Dick Jauron was not aware that Everett's locker had been cleaned out, and when alerted by the media he talked to equipment manager Dave Hojnowski to get the scoop.

"I talked to Hojo, and it was a space issue," Jauron said. "We have players on (injured reserve) who are here, and Kevin is in Houston."

Jauron also said Anthony Thomas has been packing up Everett's apartment and shipping his things to Houston, and he asked Hojnowski to pack Everett's locker belongings for shipment.

This is an example of why I'll never get on a player for holding out for more money. These guys are commodities, their only value is their bodies. Their careers can end on any one play. Team will move on, so a player needs to get his money while he can.

It's no disrespect for Everett. The Bills don't have enough locker space and I'm sure they don't want their players hanging their stuff on shower hooks and door knobs.
