14:41 PT: ESPN.com's Len Pasquarelli reports the San Francisco 49ers have been awarded WR Jeremy McDaniel, formerly of the Bills, on a waiver claim. The team will assume his one-year, $375,000 contract.

This is a good choice. They have Owens and Stokes. but not much else. Hmmm, he would have Garcia! AWESOME!!! :)

At least he won't have to learn a new system all over again. I talked to him last offseason and he was relating to me how much extra work he and Eric and the other WRs went through to learn the WCO. He'll just have to recall what he learned and learn a little new terminology.

I think that he will do well with SF. They have a great scouting team and must have realized McDaniels potential.

Being picked up by the 49ers means one extra thing to me, that at least two-thirds of the NFL teams passed on him at $375,000 since he didnt clear waivers.
