    Keys to Victory over Jets....

Ok besides the obvious, such as the play of TE, turnovers, and such, there were some key aspects of yesterday's game which contributed greatly to the win. These are also things we have been waiting for since week 1.

    1) Tight Ends contributed with 7 rec. for 51 yards and a TD. Thats a first in Buffalo for years. Gaines was a huge pick up for us. Well done by the FO.

    2) We finally stopped the run. Thomas Jones averaged 2.9 ypc and their only yardage on the ground came against our Nickel defense in what is usually a passing situation.

    3) This is the most important stat of all. Time of Posession for the Bills was 32:16 which means we had won the TOP battle and kept the D fresh. That will be a key stat for us for the rest of the year. Especially against teams like Dallas next week.

    4) Production from our 3rd and 4th Wrs. We all thought they would be a factor coming into the year and we are finally seeing it happen, 8 rec. for 97 yards between them is great. These guys are talented and are a threat for YAC everytime they touch it.

If these things happen next week, combined with the game being in a loud monday night crowd in Buffalo and an improved running game over yesterday (less than 4 ypc against Dallas wont get us the win) A win is certainly possible.

    5) I didnt hear Youboty's name called all day which is a good sign. He had Cotchery in check most of the time, Mcgee should have got his head around on that fade but made up for it. Greer is aggressive and its what our CBs should be doing more often knowing that they have help over the top. Isnt that the point of the Cover 2. Either way, they will have to play similar or better even for us to have a chance on Monday.

    Go Bills!
