Re: Teams Ranked by pass D
JP also has like dozens of games he started, so how does that average in for his experience vs Trent's?
We won this week guys, it's a good thing.Last edited by Mitchy moo; 10-02-2007, 01:33 PM.

Good thread, JP played the top three defenses in the NFL through week 3. Edwards looked very solid but the level of competition was surely very different. I hope Edwards keeps up the good work though.

Either way, if we want to go to the playoffs and actually do more than just .500, then maybe we should stop making excuses for our QBs and say that no matter what, they should be able to at least put up more than 100 yards against hard teams and find ways to keep in the games.

i was just showing facts, im sick of post that state none, Jp has put up good numbers vs the jets...we he this time idk but my problem is everyone saying T.E is the man and savior after one game vs the jets and saying Jp sucks bc he couldnt pass vs some of the best pass d's

Pitt played ari which has awesome passing attack and sf which has and avg and cle which has shown to have a decent one this year
i know 1 game can throw stats off but them playing the bills isnt the exact reason there so high
thats your feelings ive stated who they have played im not gonna go into every team and who everyone played

One thing you're forgetting- this was TE's first NFL start EVER, and he looked a lot better than JP. And as bf1 already mentioned, one game can scew stats when there have only been 4 games in the season.
Yeah, Edwards didn't play top-flight competition, but he still did extremely well despite his experience. But you have to go with the guy who's getting the job done. Think about it like this: would you rather go with the guy who got the job done in his first NFL start, or the guy who can't get the job done after 26 starts?
This weekend is definitely more of a test for Edwards, but at the moment, all signs point to him being the better option than JP.
Also, in the Ari-Pitt game, Arizona was swapping QB's all game- that's hardly a threatening passing attack.
