Edwards Could Have Put Up 14 More Points

There were 2 single plays that could have gone for TD's, and one was the INT that could have been an Evans TD, and the other drive couldve eventually gotten us another touchdown, had Royal not fumbled that ball. I dont know if many people think about those two drives, but we had 9 possessions last Sunday...and on 3 of them, we did score. On another one of them, Edwards took a sack that knocked us out of FG range, so that was potential scoring drive right there too. So right there, that is 3 times we couldve put points on the board right there, so if Royal doesn't fumble, if Edwards give the ball to Evans a TINY bit more power, and Edwards doesn't take that sack out of FG range, that's a potential for 3 more scores, so out of our 9 possessions, we wouldve scored on 6.

That's 66.6% of the time, we're scoring, that's damn good. Just goes to show how if Edwards just refines his game more, and makes those long throw better, and remembers not to take a sack in critical plays, and..Royal stops sucking...it's just going to be very interesting.

You also have to weigh in the fact that the coaches have given Edwards the green light on all downs to try to succeed. That turns DJ into even more of a risk taker based on him coming through. If JP connected on the 3 & 5 bomb at the end of the Denver game we're probably staring at a .500 team right now.

I think we could've scored more than that if Edwards scrambled on the first series where he was sacked and was able to outrun the entire jets D for a TD .

If A_train also didn't drop the pass in the first series in the 2nd qtr. he could've lateralled the ball back to Edwards and Edwards would've thrown the ball to the endzone and ran down to catch it himself.

Edwards is that good.

If A_train also didn't drop the pass in the first series in the 2nd qtr. he could've lateralled the ball back to Edwards and Edwards would've thrown the ball to the endzone and ran down to catch it himself.

Oh I'm sorry, the homers don't work in if's and's or but's anymore? I thought at least the homers would try to understand what I'm getting at...

Edwards gave us many chances to succeed, sure we didn't score on those drives I spoke of, but he gave us the chances to. Meanwhile JP isn't very good at even getting us into the opponents side of the field half the time.
