All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient. If there are bugs, we will tackle them one at a time. Remember the goal is to be up and running with no glitches by camp. Doing this now assures us of that, because it gives us all summer to get our ducks in a row. Thank you!
There is work to be done and things to be learned. We are going to try to get the old look back - or something close to it. We also know there are bugs. A thread will be started to report bugs and then we can pass those onto the host.
Thank you for all the patience and support with this - hopefully this will greatly reduce the crashes and other site issues we have had lately.
Please use this thread to report any issues you come across

I have NHL.com Top Stories on Google- here are their 3 headlines:
Flames lose in Keenan's return
Drury a hit in Rangers debut
Briere nets winner in Flyers debut
I love it how two guys we failed to re-sign are scoring goals for conference teams that are going to be competing with us for playoff spots/positioning in a few months.
I am bitter about losing at least one of those guys, but c'mon, it was one frickin' game. Let's try to at least wait until December before we start spewing things that everyone thinks anyway.

I have no doubts that Drury and Briere are going to succeed on their new teams. They are good players.
Are you guys going to cry about Drury and Briere all year long?
They are not Sabres anymore. Get over it.
we had the opportunity to keep these guys and failed to do so. Now, they're helping the competition. And their loss may or may not hurt the team- we'll start finding out in 6 hours. So, why should we get over it when it's still affecting the team?

Ok let it bother you all year even know it has no bearing over future events!

It is your ulcer man!
GO SABRES!
um, Drury and Briere playing for other teams instead of the Sabres most certainly has bearing on future events.
I don't understand you sometimes. If you want the team to win, how can you just go "oh well- doesn't bother me" when some dumbass FO suit makes a stupid decision that's going to keep the team from winning? It makes no sense.

“You hold a players only meeting and get each guy to stand up and say what he can bring to the table... and if he doesn't, you punch him in the face.” ~~ Harry Neale, on how to fix the Sabres season.

No your *****ING is what has no bearing. That is what I meant.
What is not to get? I don't get my panties in a bunch over things. As I have stated hundreds of times why bother? Sports are here for enjoyment not stress and sadness.
I used to be like you when I was in high school, maybe even worse but I realized in the past 5 or so years that there is no point in it. I had to either stop watching sports(which will never happen) or not worry so much about it.
Take last nights Yankees thrashing for example. If that happened 10 years ago I would have been beside myself. Last night I just turned it off and went about my business.

I fully understand that there's no point to getting so upset over sports, I just don't have this ability to just say "well I don't let it bother me" like everyone else does. Something happens, and either it bothers me or it doesn't. It's not a conscious choice. I can pretend it doesn't bother me, but I can only do that for so long, then it usually manifests itself by lashing out at something completely unrelated.
Like most fans, I spend a lot of time, energy and money following sports. When I have that kind of investment in it and something happens that prevents the outcome I want, it's going to bother me.
