Meathead
10-06-2007, 07:06 PM
funny but you may have noticed very often home teams atk the puck on the pk but lay back more on the road

wonder why the sabres have it backwards. but regardless theyve been pretty effective so far, few chances for the isle on the pp

churchinski

lol in this toronto game ....

they give sundin an assist on a goal he had absolutely nothing to do with
and in toronto's first game he had another assist he had no involvemnet with

the nhl loves to pad his stats so the leafs fans can continue with their BS about him being a great center

Yep, you're right, but if I'm correct, I'm usually pretty dead on about this team, just like I was last year. Disagree with me all you want, but my record speaks for itself. You just plain don't know what you're talking about, so I don't really take anything you say seriously.

Man, putting that out on the Internet for all to see is pretty ballsy. This team just lost 2 games to the Islanders...they aren't that good. If that is the case, then what does that say about the Sabres? Listen, the Sabres were pretty bad last year on the PP & PK and lost Drury & Briere. Now, they haven't addressed this deficiency and you think their going to be fine? Seriously, the math doesn't add up. I'm all for cheering your team, but not being able to see the big flaws they have is just stupid. This team has A LOT of holes that need to be addressed before they can be taken seriously as a possible playoff team. It's a long season, but I'd hate for this organization to just sit back and do nothing because by the time they do, it may be too late.

You know, when they talk about a player, and weather they're good or bad for the locker room? Well you'd be bad for the locker room.

it's ok for an nhl player to talk about who is good or bad for team attitude

but I have always said that any fan that spews that stuff is full of crap

i'm not saying you do

but how idiotic is any fan who claims to know how particular nhl players effect a locker room

ok ive just doused my hair in kerosene and lit it. ahhhhhhhh it buuurns

ok now that thats over

two games in with a team that has to find its new identity. still loaded with talent, albeit minus the strong leadership they ended with last year

my god man theres a whole season ahead of them. and if you know your hockey you know that the only thing that matter is to make the playoffs. presidents trophy? puh. means nothing. just make the playoffs and then the real season starts

granted i have some concerns, as i have expressed here and expressed all along. but as they stand today they have more than enough raw talent to make the playoffs as is. now its up to whoever its gonna be to step up and fill in the leadership void

will it be roy. hecht. vanek. connolly. soupy. yada yada yada. somebody will do it. they have all season to find that chemistry and even if it takes a while they have enough speed, skill, and recent experience to string together enough wins to put them in the postseason without much trouble

do you really think that all these snipers with miller backing them up wont be able to win just over .500 hockey?!? thats all it takes and they can do that in their sleep

once in the playoffs its a totaly diff story of course. but getting there will not be a prollem

i also expect darcy to swing a trade at or before the deadline for that physical defenseman we are desperate for. by the time that time rolls around they will have hopefully found themselves and the addition will simply solidify an already pretty strong team

regardless the playoffs are as certain as a slutty brittany meltdown. mark it down and hope they find a way to not oops i did it again in the postseason
