"I'm pretty sure the coaches saw what they wanted for the team and I fit that mould that they were looking for," said Brown, who has been clocked at 4.18 seconds in the 40. "I appreciate them giving me the opportunity."

Didn't they report some bogus rumors last week too? I may be thinking of someone else but I thought it was them.

4.18 in the 40!!

This guy could be the fastest guy in the league. I know speed isn't everthing and he probably is just a workout warrior. This guy is faster that Peerless. Peerless ran a 4.28.

Remember they use metric up there in Canada. Maybe he runs 40 centimeters in 4.18 sec. That's 0.44 yard. :D

14:22 PT: BuffaloBills.com reports the Buffalo Bills have signed free agent WR Antonio Brown. He most recently played for the CFL's Winnipeg Blue Bombers in 2002.

Being from Canada, I watch CFL on Friday nights. This guy is fast, very fast. I know sometimes those 40 numbers can be decieving, because that doesnt equate to "football speed". But this guy does have tremendous "football speed". Im just so confident in TD and his scouting unit that if they are bringing this guy to take a look at, he must see something he likes.

he had pretty good numbers

66 rec 1028 yds 15.6 ypc and 12tds

but i remember milt steegle more

106 rec 1896 yds 17.9 ypc and 23 tds

but since we need speed more, brown i guess is a better fit

here's the link

http://www.tsn.ca/cfl/teams/player_stats.asp?hubName=cfl-blue_bombers

in the cfl he played slot back which is basically a slot receiver who starts in the backfield. I wonder if he can "go over the middle in the nfl" i think he's pretty small eitherways his speed will be useful and i'd imagine he'll make the team

:hitself:

i wonder if this guy'll even make the team

here's his real stats

A Brown WR 14 rec 208yds 14.9ypc 2tds

He's fairly young. If the Blue Bombers have an established tandem of WRs, it may be that even a very talented player without a good pedigree (highly touted starter at a major college program) will have a tough time getting many snaps. Case in point: James Lee a DT from Oregon State tested better than his teammate, Eric Manning, at the combine, but played less and will probably be drafted later. Why? Manning was already a solid starter at Oregon State when James Lee transferred there from a junior college. That doesn't mean Brown will be a great player or even make the team, but you can't always measure a guys true potential by what he did somewhere else.

Well, he returns kicks doesn't he? If he does he'll be worth it just for that.

at the very least we can throw a guy with that kind of speed on the practice squad if he doesnt have the skills to play right now. Anyone with that kind of speed we can find a place for.

Rocket Ismael in his early days couldn't catch a cold, but you had to account for him flying down the field. Speed kills baby.
