One story from last nights game nobody is talking about...

An epic showdown from perhaps the NFL's 2 best punters.

    McBriar:

2 Punts, 56.5 Avg Gross, 46.5 Avg Net

    Moorman:

5 Punts, 47.5 Avg Gross, 41.6 Avg Net

Moorman also ran for the first down on the early fake.

McBriar was impressive, but stats can be deceiving, especially since one game only provides a small sample. Where you punt from can affect he kind of punt you do. If you're punting from your own 25 yard line, you boom it as high and far as you can. If you're on your opponent's 40 yard line, you'll be punting either to have in go out of bounds inside the opponents 10 yard line, or pooch it so your teammates can down it. If you have a few of those, it'll mess up your average yards badly.
I've made up my mind. Don't confuse me with the facts.

I'm the most reasonable poster here. If you don't agree, I'll be forced to have a hissy fit.

You cant really compare punters other than for their coffin kicks
“You hold a players only meeting and get each guy to stand up and say what he can bring to the table... and if he doesn't, you punch him in the face.” ~~ Harry Neale, on how to fix the Sabres season.

I joked with my wife that Moorman is the best player for the Bills. Sadly it isn't much of a joke.
