I know it's completely meaningless at this point, but it's depressing none the less...

The season is only a week old and we're already 10 pts behind Ottawa :(

yeah well the stats looked similar last year with Buffalo on top, and guess who won out in the end?

/homer

Not cause for panic this early, but definite cause for concern.

Yeah, when I posted it, I thought to myself, hey wait, that was us last year... I wouldn't get bent out of shape though. I think the past few seasons have proven, all you have to do is get in the playoffs and you'll have a chance. The top teams have hardly won, and playoff hockey is very different from regular season hockey.

Duh.

Gary Bettman hates Buffalo.

Didn't you know that?

Gary Bettman had nothing to do with Drury and Briere leaving. It was awful foresight by Sabres management. They are both leading their teams in scoring right now.

The three teams with no points yet: Atlanta, Florida and Buffalo :ill:

That makes the billing for tonight's game See Who Gets Their First Point!

Of course he did... he secretly funded the other teams to have them pull those guys away from us! CONSPIRACY!!!!!

Oh... are you going to the Canes/Sabres game in 2 weeks??

Ottawa has also played three more games than Buffalo. No big deal.

I know this, and I stated at the beginning that I knew it was pointless. We should keep this in mind throughout the season actually.

I just passed the All Star Break in my season on NHL 08 and most of the teams near me pointswise in the Eastern Conference have played 2-3 games more than me still.

Schedule was really odd this season in several ways.

I was planning it until I realized I have to get the monthly financials in that Wednesday and can't take it off to drive up to Raleigh...Bummed too because I still need to use up 10 vacation days before the end of the year...I will definitely be there in March!!

That sucks... I've got tickets to both though, so hopefully we can meet up in March then!
