Plays for DI-AA San Diego and I know eyedog will come in here and say that he sucks because he play DI-AA but the guy simply has incredible talent. He's 6'3, 200lbs and a Walter Payton award Finalist (Heisman Award of DI-AA). This weekend they play #2 Drake in a huge game, there are supposed to be alot of pro scouts in attendance and Johnson is expected to put up a good game.

Season Stats: 92-120 77%, 1298 yards, 18TD, 0INT, 217.03 Rating
30 rushes 325 yards, 1 TD, 10.8 ypc

Before USD played a down this season, head coach Jim Harbaugh told anyone who'd listen that Josh Johnson was the best junior quarterback in the nation. Not in Division I-AA. In all college football. Having come to his senses after catching glimpses of other teams, Harbaugh admits he was off base, that he spoke far too hastily. “He's the best quarterback in college football, period,” says Harbaugh. Can you say Troy Smith, Brady Quinn? “I've watched Troy Smith play,” says Harbaugh. “Our guy's better.”

Complete agreement, personally Im not sold on either Losman or Edwards and I think we need to take a more developmental type QB to see if he can bring anything to the table in a year or two and I think Johnson would be the perfect QB for us to have. Im hoping I can find his game tape v. Drake from tonight at 9pm but being on the right coast its much harder for me Ill have to search the torrents for it.

No, I'm not gonna say he sucks or is a pro qb prospect because I've never seen him play. So don't put words in my mouth.

It doesn't get much more perfect than that........ Likely won't get drafted very high if at all though since he is D2.

Football Championship Series (formerly DI-AA) he's not D2. There have been alot of recent FCS players to really make an NFL impact.

Btw I hate the new names;
Football Bowl Series (formerly DI-A)
Football Championship Series (formerly DI-AA)
Division II
Division III

This guy is a GREAT QB....unlike what gr8slayer said I do believe he will get drafted likely in the mid to late rounds....swap him with John David Booty or Matt Flynn and one of those teams would have no competition in any of their games....that's how good I think he is.

He does play in DI-AA so in some regard he is a man amongst boys however his numbers are so impressive that at some point you just want his opponents to say uncle and give up so he'll stop beating them so bad.

I cant really find much info about that, but he went to HS in the area and maybe his grades werent good enough or he just over looked with all the other big time HS in Cali. I wish I knew more, but I dont. He has been at SD since he was a freshmen so maybe he just really likes it there.
