March 19, 2003) -- Welcome to one of the biggest Pro Days a college will offer NFL personnel, which takes place in one of the biggest states in America.

Austin is the home of the University of Texas, and home to the Longhorns' annual Pro Day, where the school's draft-eligible football players work out for the NFL's scouts, coaches and general managers. You will always find a large crowd at this event -- especially since Texas is known for having a fantastic football program that annually places many players in the NFL.

In fact, Texas has had one of its players drafted into the NFL since 1938. That's the last 64 NFL Drafts, the longest streak of any college or university. Texas also holds the record for the most players taken in a single draft -- 17 in 1984, although the draft was longer then.

In recent history, the Longhorns have had four players drafted in the top 20 picks of the first round the last two years ( Leonard Davis and Casey Hampton in 2001, Quentin Jammer and Mike Williams in 2002). By the way, these four players have received a cumulative of over $40 million in signing bonuses.
