Why the hell do we play the Pats, yet again, after their bye week?

Cause the NFL schedulemakers have a grudge against us..

It's an anamoly worth noting...I'd like to know if any other division opponents consistently play each other after the bye week and it seems to favor one of the teams in particular.

it's because Buffalo is cursed and the NFL hates us. :(

It's probably a good thing... the bye week is the only thing that will slow them down.

If we put Greer in there, people will be saying who's Randy Moss? Thanks to Greer, we are going to shut down the offenses and we are going to the playoffs baby!!!

That bye week is the difference of us losing by 20 or losing by 30...so yes it does matter!

I don't think it would really matter this year anyways.

Absolutely! Giving BB 2 weeks to prepare for a game is tough enough. It's been like 4 years in a row which is just insane. Plus I beleive NE has never lost a game after the bye since BB has been there.

We also play Miami after their bye week, although they play in London the game before they play the Bills (two weeks prior).

They have won 4 games in a row coming off the Bye, but overall they are 5-2 coming off the Bye under Belichick.

As hard as it is to believe, the bills have a chance to hand the pats their first loss if they haven't lost by then. If everything goes right, that is.

Why do the Jets have so many late games? 4:05's, 4:15's, 8:15's

it's because the pats need an extra week to prepare for the dangerous Bills

Because the Giants and Jets never play on the same date and time. Unless they're playing each other, of course.

If they both play on Sunday, one plays at 1pm and one plays at 4pm.

You would think that they'd do a better job balancing the times/dates for HOME games because they share a stadium.

That ship already sailed with the Cowboys game. Everything went right and we blew it.

I really don't think it matters what the Patriots do, they are playing way to freakin' good so far. It's rediculous. If Belichik wasn't such a dick, he would give all his players an entire week off and they would still come back and beat us by 20.

I don't think they can schedule Jets at 1 and Giants at 4 on the same day (or vice versa). What happens if a game runs late, traffic, cleaning the stadium, etc.?

mybills

Of course not. You schedule one away and one at home, and they share the 4:00's. Giants don't usually have as many as the Jets. They usually have more evening games anyway, so it should work out better than it is.

Maybe Jets players like to sleep in and Jets fans want to deal with hangovers?

Agreed. The Pats could play 3 games the week before they play us and I still don't think we'd stand a chance. On the other hand, Miami did beat the Patsies last year, so anything's possible.

Honestly though, he'll spend 13 days talking about how great of a team we are, how we're posed for a Super Bowl run, and then spend the last night copying down the plays that Madden suggests in Madden 08.

Miami's offense also puts up more than 3-7 points just about every game. I can't say the same for our super squad.

They can't do that.

There are television rules to adhere to. Two teams, same market. They can't be on at the same time.

The TV rules stipulate that no game is shown on TV opposite the game for the local team. In New York, that means no game opposite the Giants when they play and no game opposite the Jets when they play. So, obviously, they both can't play at the same time because they would be "opposite" each other on the other network.

The network thing makes sense. Giants should still take more 4's off the Jets, though.

Aren't the Jets supposed to get their own field (for the last how many years)

If I were the Pats, I'd be pissed. They have demonstrated that they own the Bills for this decade.

They seem to play the Colts & 3 other Division champs each year, why can't they catch one of them off their bye week?

Do they "need" a bye week to pummel us each time?

every year the bills truly suck, they give a great team a run for their money. and conversely, when the bills are good, they lose one game that leaves you slack jawed. i expect the bills to give the pats a run for their money.

They are getting a new stadium, but it won't be their own. They are building a new football stadium in the Meadowlands, and both the Giants and Jets will play there. However, the new stadium will not be called "Giants Stadium" and I believe they are making the color scheme so it can be adapted to each team.
