All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient. If there are bugs, we will tackle them one at a time. Remember the goal is to be up and running with no glitches by camp. Doing this now assures us of that, because it gives us all summer to get our ducks in a row. Thank you!

Chances Are Edwards won't have a great game this week!
Re: Chances Are Edwards won't have a great game this week!
The Ravens gave up 260 yards and a TD to Kellen Clemens; over 300 yards and 2 TDs to Warner/Leinart; and 204 and 2 TDs to Derek Anderson. They can be passed on. It's their rushing D that's stronger.

I don't know about that. I saw the back-up QB for the Jets, Kellen Clemens, move the ball against the Ravens defense and if McCariens knew how to catch the damn ball, they would have won the game. The Ravens defense, while still very good, isn't what it once was. I just need to see the Buffalo offense and Edwards take some shots down field.

I personally hope he comes in and dominates.
If the Bills win, it will be their 1st win against a team with a winning record, that's not named the Jets, since Kelly Holcomb led the Bills to an upset win Dec. 24, 2005 against the Bengals.
Re: Chances Are Edwards won't have a great game this week!
opening play should be a flea flicker. that might help give TE some time and catch the dfense napping. and i think Bills fans will clap just to see a shot taken at this point.

If Edwards leads a win against the Ravens, keep his ass in there. If he struggles, i think we're going to get the exact same play from JP its just that i dont know how much more upside we'll get from JP, but I think there would be more upside to Trent because he's more of a heady QB than JP.

haha! Why didn't you include the bills beating the chiefs on NOv. 14 of the same year. You afraid that people will remember Losman won that game for us?
Re: Chances Are Edwards won't have a great game this week!
The Baltimore Defense is good against the run. I'm sure they will employ standard strategy for rookie QBs. Stack the box against the run, blitz a lot. Dare Edwards to pass and not give him a lot of time to throw downfield. Fortunately, Edwards' skill set matches up pretty well to that strategy. I expect Lynch will have another tough day and Edwards is going to have to complete a lot of passes to second and third receivers for modest yardage, as well as make some hot reads.
I would guess Fairchild is going to call some screen plays. Hopefully, he has a few plays up his sleeve that have the potential to hurt a team that plays a too agressive defense. It will be important for the Bills' blocking scheme to do a good job of blitz pickup.
I've made up my mind. Don't confuse me with the facts.
I'm the most reasonable poster here. If you don't agree, I'll be forced to have a hissy fit.
