With Spacek out, Sabres recall Sekera from Rochester

BUFFALO (LGS) — The Buffalo Sabres have recalled defenseman Andrej Sekera from the Rochester Americans. Sekera will likely play in both of Buffalo's games this weekend as Jaroslav Spacek is nursing a sprained shoulder.

Spacek was injured in the final minutes of Monday night's third period against the Toronto Maple Leafs when he was driven into the boards by Toronto's Nik Antropov. Antropov received a two-minute boarding penalty on the play.

In six games with the Amerks this season, Sekera has a goal and three assists. The 21-year-old played two games for the Sabres last season, registering no points while averaging 7:31 in icetime.

Ya, that sux. We were finally getting our money's worth after last season's bust. Lindy said Sekera would get ample playing time, so I hope he does well. Seems ok after the 1st period.
