All that makes Ryan’s decision heading into this weekend more meaningful. When asked whether he takes a player’s returning to his former team into consideration during weekly preparation, Ryan said: “Ask Justin if he’s starting this week.”

“Yea, we think about it,” Ryan continued. “I’m sure he’s got a lot of fond memories in Buffalo and things, but you always want to play well against your former team, so he’s starting for us this week.”

Widely considered to be one of the top defensive coordinators in the NFL, Ryan’s move is not at all a sentimental ploy. After notching his first sack of the season, Bannan has momentum on his side.

He was part of a rotation here, went there to become a full time starter and once again is part of a rotation. I liked Bannan's versitility.

bannan sucked.
When I first heard of Bannan I thought he might be really good because of his name. It was wishful thinking. My son had two kids on his team with that last name, and they were both amazing players. Justin is proof that a name is just a name.

oh he sucked, but he was better than Tim Anderson. A 300 lb bag of sand is better than Anderson.

I'm working on my "Baltimore is our grease trap because Bannan is a lard ass" T shirt and rap song right now.

With our luck, watch Bannan sack Edwards and force a fubmle to end the game!

Didn't They switch him to O line for a period?

Baltimore gots our garbage because both Willis McGahee and Justin Bannan are trash!

No but seriously, if Bannan is starting then Marshawn should have a good game!

Not switched; just played OL in goal line situations but was still a DE/DT.

He was instrumental in a couple of TDs.
