From an unbiased source...

Too many crazy theories about DJ's stance about our two QB's.

It's not too hard to understand if you think about it and put yourself in someone else's shoes.

DJ is riding the fence! No question about it and we all know it. JP is ready to go but OBD (Ralph) is giving TE every chance to steal the show. We are doing better with TE whether it's a matter of he has better talent or the line is jelling better or Fairchild has readjusted the playbook better. TE is not faultering like JP did the first two games. DJ does not want to lose fan support by creating a controversy so he uses the injury status as the deciding factor as to why JP is not starting until they test TE more. When and if TE's succeeds then DJ will use the excuse that he is playing so well that you fix a position when it is not broken.

How would it look if JP was inserted and we kept losing games when TE has played better? The public would be crying to dump DJ even more so than they are now. Ralph knows TE is playing well as a rookie and wants to give him every chance to succeed. Until TE completely flops in a game we will see him as the starting QB.

DJ is a player's coach. I don't think that he would allow an injury to dictate a starter's role with the team for fear of dividing the team or having a mutiny on his hands. I think that he would like to insert JP to let his play decide his fate but Ralph has the final say and if TE can survive as a starting QB and do well for us then JP gets traded, Ralph saves money by avoiding a big time contract for JP and we get another draft pick from the trade of JP to help rebuild this team for Marv and Company.

Another note is that if Buffalo puts JP back in and he sucks then we won't have any bargaining power at all when trying to trade him and our 1st round player will turn into 6th round compensation.

If TE plays well and doesn't screw things up this weekend we will see him start the following week. This will be the trend until TE is annointed as the permanent starter for the rest of the year or he faulters and they have no choice but to put JP back in. If TE continues to play well but we don't score many offensive points then expect to see Fairchild on the hot seat.

Get used to this wishy washy issue as it will be with us a bit longer. No sense in pulling your hair out over it as this is the way it will be for now.

THE END OF ALL DAYS
