Except for the one drive which ended with his long TD run, I thought the defense did a pretty good job against him. He gained over 70 yards on that drive alone.

but we still won!

I'm glad I called off of work today, watching McGahee and one of the teams I despise the most lose is a very rewarding feeling!

Trent looked OK today. He answered a couple of questions that I had by nailing Evans on that 47 yard deep ball and by hitting Parrish on the money, which resulted in a pass interference call. Overall he looks poised for a rookie. McCargo continues to open my eyes, I'm loving what this man has been doing, kudos as well for a great game to: Lynch (our OL needs to protect him better, btw.. ), Evans, Kelsay, Hargrove(told ya that he is going to have a monster year despite the 4 game suspension.) and other honorable mentions include: John "It's not delivery, it's" DiGorgio, Josh Reed and Roscoe Parrish.

Kelsay missed almost the entire second half, didn't he?

Absolutely. We pretty much gave him that long run anyway, the missed tackles and the fact that there were only 10 guys on the field that play...

If you take away his best five runs, he sucked.

:D

Yes he did. Started slow and then broke some big ones.

He also dropped a couple easy swing passes and made zero effort to block, costing the Ravens on key plays.

I am so happy with Lynch. He plays every play as if it was the last play of his life and he's got nothing to lose. How can you not admire a player like that ?

Not that I know of? :idunno: He had a couple good run stuffing plays that really stood out to me, I swear I saw him make a couple plays in the second half as well.

The announcers said it happened just before halftime, I think. I'm pretty sure Hargrove was getting extensive playing time early in the second half.

Willis did play good but Lynch played better in my most biased opinion.

Willis was going up against one of the statisticaly worse defenses in the NFL while Lynch was going up against one of the best.

Same old McGahee.

Nothing I saw today, including his TD would ever make me want to look back.

I would take Lynch over him every time. Marshawn is going to be a great back.

Willis is Antowain Smith with no personal discipline.

Willis does nothing to win games. His stats always looked better than his play.

The guy that we should have kept when it was all said and done was Fletcher. I owe him an apology.

I loved how Baltimore took him out on every 3rd down. They also took him out on some important drives towards the end of the game. :snicker:

Why didn't Billick run McGahee when it was 3rd and 1 and 4th and 1 on the Ravens last drive?

Terrible play calling.

I think Lynch is still learning the blitz pickups. He is a rookie and will hopefully have that down. McGahee has been in the league long enough to know better...

Terrible play calling.

Not at all.

I was able to read Billick's lips just prior to both those calls.

He said, "Should we give it to Willis."

I was unable to discern what the coordinator said, but Billick's next transmission to the booth was:
"Ya. He never knows what down it is. Lets try something different."

Willis looked good on one drive and that is it. His numbers were inflated because of that drive. He sucked other than that and many drives were stalled because he only was getting one or two yards. I much rather have a guy chip away 4-5 yards at a time than get 10-14 carries for 1-2 yards and 4 carries of 5-6 yards and 1 long run. Need consistancy at RB and WM is far from consistant.
