18:00 PT: Len Pasquarelli for ESPN.com reports the Buffalo Bills and FB Larry Centers have agreed to a one-year contract extension that will keep him with the team through the 2003 season. The deal includes a $250,000 signing bonus. His 2002 base salary decreased by $50,000, but his cap charge this season increased $75,000. He will receive a base salary of $1.1 million in 2003 and will count $1.225 million against the cap that season.

At least he is with us until he retires. He doesn't have too many good years left.

I think he smells a great team in the making over the next 2 seasons and wants to contribute to a possible future championship team.

This is in error. He signed a 2 yr deal that included a decent signing bonus
