Filled with gems on some of the less heralded players:

BEST JOHNNY ON THE SPOT: John DiGiorgio – He swooped in and recovered the fumble while keeping himself in bounds to make the recovery legit. He now has two takeaways in his last two games.

BEST KNOCKDOWN: John McCargo – His body blow on Willis McGahee that dropped him for a five-yard loss may have received the loudest cheers from the fans in attendance.

BEST DRAW OF A PENALTY: John Wendling – His pursuit downfield forced a Ravens player to hold him to keep him from tackling kick returner Yamon Figurs. Baltimore was penalized and forced to start their drive on their own nine-yard line.

BEST THIRD DOWN PRESSURE: Anthony Hargrove/John DiGiorgio – The two teamed up for a sack on an important 3rd-and-8 play in the third quarter getting to Boller despite the fact that he worked out of the shotgun on the play. Hargrove also had another third down pressure that led to an underthrown pass in the fourth quarter.

BEST DEBUT PLAY: Justin Jenkins – The recently activated wide receiver working as a gunner on punt coverage dropped return man Ed Reed for a three-yard loss.

BEST COVERAGE: Punt team – The Bills coverage unit held the 3rd-ranked punt return team in the league to one yard on five returns for an average of 0.2 yards per return. It tied for the second lowest punt return average allowed by the Bills in team history in which the opponent had more than two returns in a game. What made it even more impressive was there was not one fair catch by the Ravens.

Honorable mention to the kick coverage unit which held the Ravens to just 17 yards a return on kickoffs.

BEST PURSUIT: Ryan Neill – The defensive end released into the flat in pursuit of running back Mike Anderson, who Kyle Boller soon hit with a quick pass off a three step drop. But Neill effectively closed the ground between himself and Anderson covering some 25 yards to make it to the sideline and hold the running back to a two-yard gain.

I am going to watch the game again at 7 PM on NFLN. Sorry Warmer customers.

I knew the coverage teams did a good job yesterday, but didn't bother to look up exactly how good. Pretty impressive.

Ravens have been one of the best in the league. They beat you with special teams and defense. They had a really bad day and it was not all their lack of focus. Wendling seemed to be going around the Ravens' player like he was on fire until he got held.
