NFL.com: Bills look good/Edwards solidifies starting QB job

    Bills look good

So after the Bills defeated Baltimore on Sunday, the question is whether this game was merely an upset or if these are two teams heading in opposite directions. It's a little of both, but possibly more an indication that Buffalo is improving.

Dick Jauron's squad featured some solid game-planning for this contest. They went no-huddle on offense, preventing Baltimore from making the defensive substitutions that usually allow them to do their exotic blitzing. It forced Baltimore to remain in its base defense, which was a big help to rookie quarterback Trent Edwards.

Of course, it also helped Buffalo that the Ravens, who have struggled on offense most of the season, went into the game without starting QB Steve McNair and starting tight end Todd Heap.

Edwards, meanwhile, has solidified himself as starting quarterback in Buffalo. As he continues to play, the Bills' passing game will improve. Edwards is more accurate than J.P. Losman, which will make the Buffalo offense more consistent.
