Yes anything is possible. We could finish 10-6 and we could finish 2-14, but we are building some momentum and our defense is playing above expectations considering injuries. If our offense continues to improve even slightly game by game as it seems to be doing, then I think it could be possible to wind up at lest 9-7. 9-7 won't get us into the playoffs though.

We have some winnable games coming up. If we put a string of three wins together in the next three weeks and lose to NE and JAX or WAS...
We could finish strong with 4 W's in a row and be playoff bound.

Any thougths for this Homer? We have to go 8-2 the rest of the way. Man are those two losses by field goals (Denver & Dallas) painful to think about.

Either way, next year should be a dead lock year for a playoff run! We will have a strong, deep, young team with another draft under our belt and some experience.

you guys honestly think that we will stay on the losing path for ever? I don't. There are so many factors that would lead anyone to believe that Buffalo shouldn't win more than 4 games this year. Injuries, QB swap, inexperience, new players trying to build chemistry, yada, yada, yada.

This team has fought through some tough times already this season and I see a team that is growing up in a hurry. We may not be firing on all cylinders yet on offense but it will happen soon. Our defense has been playing great the last few games even with no name players. We could be 4-2 right now if it weren't for two fieldgoals and I guarentee you that those of you that thik we won't be any better than 7-9 now would be walking around with playoffs on your mind. Our schedule is easier after the bye week and with each game that passes our team will continue to improve. We have seen the worst and now we are on the right path.

It sucks that JP didn't get a fair deal but life isn't fair. There is always someone better out there. We should hope that we found him.

Realistic or not we won't finish below 8-8 this year. With some help like those otehr teams got in the games that we lost by field goals, we could be in doubledigit wins this year.

the end of the schedule is full of toss-up games but if we can beat the Giants we definitely deserve to be in the playoffs but right now its just baby steps and lets take it one step at a time so we don't fall down and have to crawl the rest of the way

I would agree with you, except that the Bills' goal should be a Super Bowl. Thus, making the playoffs would be great for experience, but it's probably not going to haunt me unless I felt we had a chance to win the Bowl. This year, we have 0% chance of doing that. So if we finish 7-9 and I feel like the team got better, that's not that bad in my eyes. We just need to get to that level where I can even entertain the fact that we can contend. We're not there now.
