Your thoughts on Willis McGahee

McGahee's agent is reporting him completely healthy. So healthy infact, that Nike has signed him to a promotinal and endorsement deal worth nearly $100,000. That deal maybe the largest offered to a draft prospect.

Draft gurus: When is McGahee projected to go in the draft? Is he worth a gamble?

IMO, if he is available in the 3rd round - suck him up. He was a great back in Miami and was originally projected to be drafted high in the first round prior to his unfortunate injury against Ohio State. He may end up becoming the story of the year next season and could provide quality trade material or backup in 2004.

If you are talking about a replacement for TH, forget it. I do not want another RB by commitee approach here. Pick a back, run him 3 downs, then bring in GASH on 4th and 1! LOL

mcgahee is a good RB but i'm satisfied with henry.we have other needs to tend to.

He blew out a knee in high school too. His NFL career will most likely be short and uneventful.

I'd take him the 2nd Round...Great talent. Likely will work his way back to 100% by halfway through the season and a better back than Clinton Portis. Will also be better in the Pros. Backup RB is quite possibly our biggest need too. McGahee is bigger and faster than Portis. Yes on McGahee.

Everything you said applies only to the PRE-BLOWN-OUT-KNEE McGahee. Not the one who'll be available next month.

Anyone who's broken a bone or a serious injury like his can tell you that it's not something you'll recover from in a year, or even two or three. You'll always be a little bit less in performance and a little more scared mentally. Hell I broken my leg in high school 14 years ago and it still hurts every once in a while when it rains or something.

He's 6-2, 225, and runs a 4.2-4.3 40...and believe me, I broke my ankle seriously, with surgery and it only took me 6-7 months to be back to 100%.

He's great and if he's healthy he'll be a great pro back. We need a backup. If he's 100% he's fighting for a starting spot at least by year 2 and we don't need controversy. I like him quite a bit but I don't see a reason to bring him in. If he's starting caliber then he or Henry sits the bench and becomes disgruntled. That's doing nothing for our team nor for their careers.

The guy tore ligaments in his knee he didn't break his ankle. He tore his ACL, MCL, PCL. I'm telling you now he will not play until 2004. If he does try to go this year he will tear one of those again no doubt. Go Bills!

what great running back was it that we drafted that helped us get to 4 straight superbowls that blew out his knee oh yeah does the name Thurman Thomas come to mind.
