MISSION VIEJO, Calif. (March 27, 2003) -- The Cincinnati Bengals flew in head coach Marvin Lewis and two assistants for an individual workout last week and the Jacksonville Jaguars take their turn today.

A Chicago Bears contingent arrives next week, then it will be time to hit the road for some team visits and finally, at long last, the NFL Draft. Oh, and did we forget to mention that July 6 wedding?

For Carson Palmer, Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback and possible No. 1 pick in the April 26-27 draft, this is the best of times and the busiest of times. But the wedding planning, at least, has been a piece of cake.

"My fiancée [Shaelyn] has done such a good job with all the wedding stuff, I haven't had to do a whole lot," Palmer says. "She and her mom have really gotten after that so I've been able to concentrate on working out and football."

Since picking up his Heisman Trophy and leading USC to a 38-17 Orange Bowl victory over Iowa, working out has been Palmer's full-time job.
