Because 3/4th's of the team is always day-to-day at this point in the week for every team in the NFL.

So I'll update it on Friday. After all, Brady was questionable every week and still played every game.

So I'll update it on Friday. After all, Brady was questionable every week and still played every game.

Actually, he has been listed as "probable" on the injury report every week, which means he is a "virtual certainty" to play. The 4th anniversary of his being listed on the injury report was actually the last NE-Buf game.

The designation is made because Brady is on a practice pattern where he sits out certain portions of practice to save wear-and-tear on his arm. They have handled him this way ever since 2003, when he was nursing a shoulder injury. If a player misses practice time, he must be listed on the injury report, per NFL rules. That is why the NFL doesn't give them crap about it.

so when did stamer go on IR if he played on sunday?

According to the Official NFL Gamebook (http://www.nfl.com/liveupdate/gamecenter/29305/NYJ_Gamebook.pdf) for last week's game he was active.

Looks like Rudi Johnson will go for the Bengals: http://frontier.cincinnati.com/blogs/bengals/2007/10/rudi-back-at-practice.asp

I'd much rather have seen the Bills defense face Kenny Watson.

That can go both ways. Johnson might be a bit rusty having not played for a while.

I dont' think I have ever seen someone out with a face injury.

why is Denney, who is out indefinitely and hasn't played a down all year, on IR, whereas Pos, who might be ready in 5 weeks, IS on IR?

Oh right, because our coaches are morons.

Word around here is that both Johnson and Watson will get snaps. The other two DTDs are not playing.

Brown "retracted" a few minutes ago, saying that Johnson gets every Thursday off to rest a nagging ankle injury.

Kenny Watson returned to a complete practice Thursday, a day after sitting out due to a mild concussion. He's expected to play at Buffalo.
Rudi Johnson (hamstring) also put in another full workout. Johnson figures to be the favorite for goal-line carries, but Watson has performed well in short yardage and could also be an option there. Expect close to an even carry split between the two, with DeDe Dorsey possibly getting a couple of touches. Bengals coach Marvin Lewis hasn't specified who'll start the game.

Rudi Johnson (hamstring) went through another complete practice Thursday.
The Bengals still worry Rudi will fatigue in Sunday's game at Buffalo, but he's worth a fantasy flex start in non-PPR leagues. Kenny Watson, with whom he'll share carries, is a better flex in leagues awarding points for catches.

My guess, based upon what I've heard from Marvin Lewis in the news this week, is that Watson and Johnson will be substituted liberally throughout the game. The Bengal OL is a mess, though, so I'm not worried about either one of them having a huge day.

I'm just worried about McGee, Greer is an undercover shut down Corner.

Kenny Watson (probable, head) went through an unrestricted practice Friday and is expected to play against Buffalo in Week 9.
We're speculating, but Watson would seem a better fantasy play than Rudi Johnson. Johnson's hamstring injury virtually guarantees he'll be limited, while the concussion Watson suffered was diagnosed as mild. Watson has earned a larger role with his excellent four-game run and may be the slight favorite for touches overall because of his superior receiving ability.
