Larry Centers

I don't get what the big deal is about him. He runs out 7 yards and stands there untill someone throws him the ball. He's a waste of a good roster spot, why could't a FB that is a better blocker do the same thing??

The big deal is on 3rd and 4 you can count on him to get the first down. He has done it through out his career. He is no superstar but I'm glad he is on our team.

i would rather have a blocking fullback as well, centers is my least favorite bill

Morris can catch and is faster....I'd trust him on a 3rd and 4 just as much

I'd say maybe the fact that he has more receptions than any other RB in NFL history might have a little something do to with it. Maybe.

I like Centers, but I'd love to see Morris play that spot when he's gone. Morris is a better blocker and he can catch. Centers is pretty savvy out there though, you can't take that away from him.

I don't think you can underrate what Centers has done. I'd rather have a blocking back for most situations, but on a 3rd and short, I want centers running routes. He has a knack for getting open and finding the first down.

That said, I don't think the team really needs him. We have enough weapons that we wouldn't miss him that much.

Word on the street is that Larry gets very poor yardage after the catch.

I have never understood why so many people dislike this guy so much. Sitting in the front row, I had the opportunity to see this guy up close last year. He was far and away the most athletic player on the field. This guy catches everything thrown his way. The most reliable dump off option in the league.

i agree patrick, centers rules. And i've said it before, but i'll say it again, Centers CAN block.
