his signing is still not official.. we still dont have accurate contract numbers or a signing bonus figure..

whats the dealio?

that would be odd, considering he is talking the talk like he is here.. and the numbers are agreed upon.. i just cant figure why he wouldnt be signed yet...

if he were to bail out on a verbal agreement, i would guess that it would ruin him, but is a verbal agreement legal binding contract? i believe it is.

TD is at meetings in Arizona so that would be the only reason I can think of. Also maybe TD wants to be there fot the press conference. Go Bills!

Yea i was starting to wonder that too, and with TD being in Arizona, thats the only reason I can think of. And don't mention Sam bailing on us, we don't wanna jinx it.

honestly.. i dont think he can.. he is legally bound by a verbal committment.. as far as i know.

I was just updating our BFZ transaction page, and oddly, Takeo Spikes has not been "officialy" added as well.

Could be salary cap mumbo jumbo- they will be in Bills uni's- I think the NFL would impose very harsh penalties on the player/agent if they pulled funny stuff.

It could also hinge on a player's passing a physical, which may not have been performed yet either.

I noticed this on a lot of other team transaction pages as well.

Actually, there is not legal contract in a VERBAL agreement. It just makes you look bad. If you remember...Dusty Ziegler agreed to re-sign with us and had a verbal contract....but he screwed us and signed a contract with the Giants the next day. :angry:ing Ziegler!

I was told by a guy who is a fledgling scout that the holdup is with the language in the contract regarding incentives. It happens occasionally and is just a matter of straightening it out so that the league likes it.

Yeah I know he got stuck with the avatar. It must be the crow if that's what it is, you know the 10 by 5 foot image of the weirdo. Nothing personal, tatonka has good points, I usually agree with him. I just hate the pic.
