He's incredible. The vikings are lucky they don't need a qb with this guy.

AP is really great! Chester Taylor did a great job today, as well.

Wow, I'm so glad I took him in my fantasy league. Peterson and Brady have me 7-1 to this point. I'm happy with Lynch on our team though. He ran with alot of heart today, and all season.

And he is doing that with no QB threat

His oline is awesome but he is a beast

No QB and he's treating the NFL like it's college. Awesome performance. Lynch throws a TD, scores a TD and has 153 yards rushing and isn't even in the ballpark for rookie of the week!

Peterson was insane today. I had that game on the TV next to the Bills. The Vikings were blowing open huge holes in the Chargers depleted O-Line but Peterson did a lot of the damage by himself by refusing to go down. Just a dominating performance in all facets of the game by the Vikes.

He's injury prone though, so let's see how long he stays healthy before anointing him anything other than an awesome rookie.

He is not injury prone

"He runs upright"

So much for those talking heads....

Go ahead...run "upright" for almost 300 yds. LOL

The guy is a STUD.

I started a thread a few weeks ago and people were like "we'll see?"

Did he do enough today for the doubters???

I'll still stick to what I was saying pre-draft.

Lynch will have a longer, better career.

Gotta keep thinking your team got the right guy. I can respect that. Lynch will be a good back for you guys. He had a real nice game today. Actually reminds me of Ronnie Brown how he never quits and keeps churning his legs and looks for guys to run over

I don't drink that kool aid sorry. Lynch will be great but he will not sniff Adrian's jock

i love peterson, but i'll be surprised if he can play for 5 or more years. he is a train wreck waiting to happen on every play.

love how angry he runs tho. i think his big games have light up marshawn a bit, marshawn really is a tough guy and we need to get our running O in key

moved so this thread doesn't get buried by the celebrating and upcoming :squish: threads!

Sadly, I didn't get to see Peterson play.... I was in a different section of the bar today - but I could hear the Vikes fans going nuts.

He is, without doubt, a special talent. A true threat to take it all the way every time he touches it.

He is what all the hype said Reggie Bush was supposed to be.

Not just in football but in sports there are certain athletes that you just WANT to see play.

Currently, I'm talking about guys like Lebron James, Kobe Bryant, Sidney Crosby, A-Rod, Josh Beckett when he pitches, Tom Brady (hate him or not)

It took all of 8 weeks to say: Add AP to that list. He's filthy

I am never going to fret about the fact that Buffalo has Lynch and not Peterson. Peterson was gone when Buffalo drafted. I wish Peterson and the Vikings well, except when they play the Bills, but Lynch is or RB, and he is going to be a very good one. No regrets.

It will be interesting to see what Darren McFadden is like next year. He may be as talented or more so than Peterson.

They do seem similar, but I think Peterson is a little faster.

I wonder if the Pats would be interested in McFadden. Right now, the SF pick they have is a top-5 pick. If SF continues to struggle and the Pats end up with a pick that high, would they draft an explosive back like McFadden with Maroney already there?

It would be an interesting pick.

AP is simply amazing. His burst is unreal, and then he's gone, ala Keyser Soze.

Ill stick with what I said pre-draft Adrian Peterson is the best back to come out in a long time
