So, I know we're all happy about the Bills and all, but I would just love to see the Patsies go down today.

If you care to read the NOTICE at the top of the page, it says "We talk about the Bills and the NFL in here....."

I'm talking about the NFL in here, AFC in particular, which relates to the Buffalo Bills.

Glad I could accomodate you.

Now, down to business. I picked NE, but want the Colts to win. Go Manning! :D

Oh, and should I move that Adrian Peterson thread, too? :idunno:

It's ironic to me.....after the sports media made such a fuss over how great these two quarterbacks are, there sure have been a lot of interceptions.

i could watch Brady get sacked all night long.

Even if they score a TD here I'm still confident PM will not let his team down....

I think it was kind of ironic that the Colts had this game won but couldn't close it out, while the Pats had the same problem in last year's playoff game. I had a ton of nervous energy in this game, and watched the whole second half while using my elliptical trainer to burn it off.

Brady said after the game that the Colts surprised them by playing a lot of man coverage underneath, while keeping their S over the top to prevent the big play. Their speed and physical play forced the Pats into a lot of mistakes, and almost won the game for them. In the end, the Pats were able to adjust and get some big plays in the passing game in the second half.

The Pats defense came up big down the stretch. Early on they were kind of shaky, getting a lot of penalty yardage and struggling to get Indy's offense off the field. However, despite Indy moving the ball a lot early they weren't able to build a big lead because the Pats kept them out of the endzone. Their execution and tackling was terrible at times, especially on that long Addai TD right before the half.

That Addai TD was a big play. The Pats had moved into FG range, and Brady compounded getting impatient and forcing the ball downfield on 2nd-and-24 by under-throwing the ball and having Bethea pick it off. Then Indy gets the big play from Addai for the TD. That is a minimum 10-point swing there, and really put them in a hole.

The Pats defense rebounded well and came up with some big stops late. They managed to finally limit Addai, and were able to get some pressure on Manning. I think it was interesting that both teams played most of the game in nickel and dime sets. I expect both will continue to see a lot of coverage-heavy schemes the rest of the season.
