ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. -- Bengals receiver Chad Johnson (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/players/profile?statsId=5483) flew home with his teammates Sunday after medical tests showed he sustained no damage to his neck after being hurt late in Cincinnati's game against Buffalo.
Team spokesman Jack Brennan said Johnson joined the team for its scheduled flight to Cincinnati after having a CT scan of his neck at a Buffalo-area hospital. Brennan said test results were normal.

Johnson was hurt when he was sandwiched by Bills defenders Donte Whitner (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/players/profile?statsId=7757) and Coy Wire (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/players/profile?statsId=5983) while attempting to make a diving catch over the middle with 1:53 remaining of the Bengals' 33-21 loss to the Bills. Johnson dropped the ball and was face-down on the field at the Bills' 37 as the game was delayed for about 10 minutes.
Coach Marvin Lewis said Johnson had movement in all extremities and was sent to a hospital as a precaution. Johnson had tests immediately after he was carted off the field and before he was loaded into an ambulance about 20 minutes after the game ended.
Fellow receiver and good friend T.J. Houshmandzadeh (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/players/profile?statsId=5652) jumped into the ambulance to be with Johnson.

Good news. He should have sat down for awhile after taking the first shot from Wilson.

Good news. It was depressing watching him being carted off the field and momentarily spoiled what was an otherwise awesome day.

That is good news...Very classy of Bills fans and players rooting for him when he was down...Shows that their is a lot more to life then just a game.

Good to hear. Bills fans have lived it once this year and were very respectful:up:

That's what I was saying... I think he got a concusion on that play. He didn't look the same after that hit.

He got rocked 3 times today, the third being when he was taken off on the stretcher. He shouldn't have been playing after the 2nd one on the sideline. You could see his head smash into the ground and I guarantee he got a concussion from it. He continued to play with that concussion, which definitely contributed to getting hurt on the hit from Whitner.

Great news! I'm glad for the win and love to see our defesne being physical, but I don't wish injury on anyone. The game especially needs great players like Johnson.

As YardRat and bwbrenton said, I think the hit before may have knocked him silly. Either that, or he stayed down due to a bruised ego caused by his alligator arms all game. Ocho Stinko was more like it. I wish he would have talked trash about what he was gonna do after he scored.

They didn't even show the score of the game durring half time of the Pats/Colts game. They just showed CJ getting carted off and said that they thought he'd be ok.

That was a thing that ticked me off too, along with during the Game, the "Countdown to the Pats/Colts game" ticker. God I hate the NFL sometimes.

Looks like he'll be fine. My wife who rarely mentions anything after a big hit said that Ocho Cinco got really hurt after the sideline hit, she somehow knew.

He looked pretty woozy after that hit on the sideline. Looked similar to what Coles went through last week. I'm glad he's OK, and I'm also glad our DBs are laying the wood to the receivers. Absolutely amazing job by our DBs this game against two of the best receivers in the game.

our secondary is young fast hungry and HITS HARD.

i think we might add one corner (particularly a big one) but for our D we'll prolly just get an LB, and a couple DT/DEs.

i have a feeling we are gonna gun for lance briggs next season

Looks like he is...early reports show sprained ego and a tired mouth.

His new name is Ocho Stinko.
