Spikes is actually having a decent year - he leads his team in tackles.

Getting rid of him was still the right thing to do.

Not superbowl calliber in my eyes...or any Educated football fans eyes.

But before the season started...according to the Experts at ESPN and other great media outlets, the Eagles were one of the elite teams in the NFL. Especially with the addition of Spikes.

Same goes for 2003 when we got Takeo and started off 2-0. Everyone was talking about how the Bills were hands down the best team in the AFC...then we went 6-10.

spikes sucks. go bills

Oh please.

Takeo is one of 53 guys. Cincy was a joke for more than a decade and they finally started to get it right around the time he left- it had nothing to do with him.

When he was here, we had no offense. Certainly he wasn't part of the problem- we were #2 in D for both years that he was here and healthy.

Philly's problem is more that McNabb is past his prime.

TKO might have been the best linebacker in the league the years he was healthy here.

Hopefully he ends up on a winner, he deserves a ring.

TKO has a very strong passion for football. He deserves to go to the playoffs someday. Too bad McNabb is so inconsistent.

i have to disagree.

with the injuries we've had spikes would have been very important for us.

IMO we would have won denver and he prolly would have made a couple plays against dallas as well -- perhaps winning that.

i think we let him go 1 year too early, although if he demanded it our hand was forced. he'd not what he used to be but is still a solid NFL qb, when we were down to 2 guys against NE he would have really helped.

he's now where near what he once was tho.

So is this a fluke?

Or is this "Larry Centers syndrome" where his actual play looks good on paper but in fact causes the teams he plays on to stink?
