I just watched Lynch's interview on "Rome is Burning"... I Tivo'd it and had to back a second and then a third time to watch it to make sure my ears didn't fail me.

Here's your stat of the week.

In an interview that lasted a little bit over 5 minutes. Marshawn Lynch said "you know" 47 times. That's not a misprint. 47!!!!!

I love this kid man, but he may be the worst interview I've ever seen in my life. If he wasn't a Buffalo Bill, most of you would be making fun of him too. Don't get me wrong, its about him being a great player (he is) and having good character (he does). But yikes, he needs to take a public speaking course or something.

So let me be first to officially nickname him "You Know.". Im going to bring it to the forefront on Rome's radio show tommorow.. I love it

BTW.. If anyone has the capability to do it, or its floating around YouTube, having a video of the interview would be awesome.

Who cares. If he can run the ball and he seems to be a good guy, does it really matter ?

He's entertaining, no doubt about that.. "Fun"

But dude don't need to say "you know" 47 times in a one segment interview!

I've heard worse interviews....McGahee?

And honestly, I could care less about public speaking. It doesn't reflect on intelligence at all.

How sad that you have the time to count.

I haven't seen it, but from his press conferences and other interviews I've always thought he did well.

I can't imagine anyone doing worse in interviews then McGahee. I always thought listening to and watching him was painful and embarrassing.

Look at Pat for example.

McGahee is Bob Costas compared to Lynch when it comes to an interview.

That being said, as long as he runs over opponents and is good for the community, it doesn't matter. I simply just got a kick out of "you know" being his choice of words 47 different times. Maybe it's a California thing?

Maybe he is not sure what to say and is filling in "you know" to make it to the next idea. Not everyone can speak like Trent, lol.

I aint hating on Lynch. I been on board with this dude since BEFORE the draft.. I just think his interview was hilarious.

I think I dated a girl that would certainly give Marshawn a run for his money with that phrase - and if you throw in a bunch of "like" - she'd blow him away.

Almost all athletes say "you know" too much. I heard Lee Evans on the jungle yesterday and he was pumping out the "you know"s pretty good.

Our last three RBs weren't very good speakers, but I give Marshawn a little more just on the basis of him going to Cal instead of the U and Tenn.

This isn't Willis McGahee you're talking about, is it? Because the Willis McGahee I've seen in interviews reminds me of a sedated Flava-Flav. The Marshawn interviews I've seen are like State of the Union addresses in comparison.

Not takin anyones side and i love and i mean love marshawn. With that being said, i noticed the same thing pat did. He did say you know and "an" quite a bit. He did look very nervous and the article i just read from his college days pointed out he didnt like public interviews to much. He better get used to them, cuz this kid is a star and will be on tv many more times BABY(say it like Dicky V)
