Thomas' latest troubles stem from when his car was rear-ended leaving Dolphin Stadium after the Oct. 21 loss to New England. He missed the Giants game in London because of what the team labeled whiplash and soreness, and hadn't participated in contact work till Thursday.
If Thomas isn't cleared to play, weakside LB Channing Crowder, who is second on the team with 40 tackles, would start his fourth game in the middle, while reserve Derrick Pope fills in for Crowder.
"We'll be fine if I do [play]. We'll be fine if I don't," said Thomas, whose 52 tackles lead the team. "Channing did a great job filling in [there] for me two weeks ago and I make sure he's getting a lot of reps in there at middle linebacker as well. It's all about my health first, and we go from there."
