    Remember 5 months ago

Remember when many were looking at the schedule and thought this first half of the schedule couldn't get any tougher and that the NFL were trying to screw us? If anything they bent over backwards for us this season. Especially with selling out games as most of our home games were early in the season.

The schedule ended up being the total opposite and being very easy. We have only played two teams that are worth a damn and that has a winning record. The rest of them like the Broncos, Jets, Ravens and Bengals(to an extent) are shadows of themselves from last year. We had a streak of 3 games in a row at home and 4 out of 5 with all of them being against weak teams.

Now back then it was believed that the 2nd half of the schedule would get MUCH easier and be a piece of cake. Well now the 2nd half of the schedule looks very tough with improved teams like the Redskins, Giants and Browns.

Too bad we didn't get through the 1st half of the schedule 6-2 like we should've. Five of our home games are down the drain and now we only have 3 more left with many tough teams ahead of us. I guess you could say the schedule ends up close to the same but only in the opposite order.

This team will have a lot to prove the rest of this season. Bad coaching decisions lost us two important games we desperately needed right now. After this week comes the true test for our team. The combined records of the teams we have beat are 8-26.

It's not that the rest of our schedule are against powerhouse teams but they are against pretty good teams on the road. If this team can finish strong they can prove themselves some going into next season and maybe have a shot at the playoffs. If they bomb out it will show we still have a long ways to go.

yeah pretty amazing how teams can change so dramatically from year to year now. and the two meltdowns at home really really hurt. with a likely 5-5 record after ten games its gonna take 5-1 to make the playoffs which appears quite unlikely. 4-2 would have been far more realistic a shot. you watch theyll miss the playoffs by one game again, making the three galling coaching errors to snatch defeat against the girls infamous

Hell yeah. Had we made it through the next two weeks 7-3 we would've been in great position for a run at the WC. We would've had to finish no worse then 3-3 to make the playoffs with one more game against Miami at home. We really hurt our chances with them pathetic coaching losses.

With the Jags sitting at 5-3 and still having to play the Titans, Colts and Steelers on the road we still have a good chance. Had we been sitting 6-2 right now most likely barring a meltdown a win against them in the game we play would've put them guys away.

With the Browns we still play them too(on the road just like the Jags though) and will be a huge game. They have an easy path to the playoffs if they keep it up. They only play one more team with a winning record(Steelers) the rest of the season with games against the sinking Ravens and us. After that the rest of the team are some of the worse in the league with the 49ers, Texans, Cardinals and Jets. There's no reason not to believe that if they keep it up that they might only lose two more games with that schedule.

I can see us finishing a game behind them and crushing our team with the Broncos and Cowboys games being the reason. Jauron has a lot to prove the rest of the season. Beating teams with an 8-26 record so far this year doesn't prove anything yet. He must get us a good finish to the rest of the year and a run towards the playoffs. He must show that the Broncos and Cowboys games were just bad luck and he can overcome it against better teams.

I don't understand how some can analyze an entire 60 minutes of football and then rationalize to themselves that 'one thing' lost the game.

Either way it's a wash.. New England could win the SB this year and then Brady could get injured next year and go 4-12, you just never know.

one thing: dont let a rook try a pass over the middle and you kick a gimme that puts you up by a fg a td and two pt conv very late in the game

one thing: make sure your hands team has at least the same number of players in position to recover the onsides kick as your opponent

one thing: cover the sidelines and you dont let them complete a four second sideline pass that gives them one second to kick a fitty tree yarder
