    MATCHUPS TO WATCH

Bills RB Marshawn Lynch vs. Dolphins run defense. Lynch seems to be coming of age in recent games and is coming off the best game of his rookie season in which he gained 153 yards and threw a pass for a touchdown in last week's 33-21 win over the Bengals. Lynch ranks fourth in the NFL with 690 rushing yards. He'll be going against an injury-ravaged defense that is ranked 31st against the run. If Thomas can't go, then Channing Crowder must pick up the slack and take over Thomas' role as the team's leading tackler. Last week, Giants RB Brandon Jacobs gashed them for 131 rushing yards. Unheralded Raiders RB Justin Fargas had a career-high 179 yards against the Dolphins.

Dolphins LT Vernon Carey vs. Bills DRE Aaron Schobel. Carey has been pretty solid in run blocking, but Lemon has been sacked six times in the past two games. Schobel, who has the second-most sacks in the NFL since 2003 behind Dolphins DE Jason Taylor, has 2.5 sacks so far. Schobel has eight career sacks in 12 career games vs. the Dolphins, as well as two forced fumbles and an interception. The Dolphins may get a break this time around, as Schobel is questionable this week with a groin injury.

Dolphins WR Ted Ginn Jr. vs. Bills CB Terrence McGee. The Bills are ranked 29th in pass defense, so expect Lemon to test their secondary early and often. Ginn caught his first touchdown pass against the Giants and narrowly missed a long-gainer against the Browns. He seems to be warming up. Lemon must show he can move the field and get in the end zone or the John Beck era will begin sooner than later.

Bills WR Lee Evans vs. Dolphins secondary. Evans, who has six touchdowns in six career games against the Dolphins, is the type of physical receiver the Dolphins' undersized cornerbacks, such as Will Allen and Michael Lehan, have struggled with all season. See Braylon Edwards and Randy Moss. Evans is coming off his second consecutive 100-yard game of the season, with season highs in yards (165) and receptions (9) in the Bills win over the Bengals. Evans, who ranks fourth in the AFC in receiving yardage, could take advantage of the inexperience of Dolphins starting safeties Cameron Worrell and Jason Allen.

WTF is this guy smoking? Evans is a burner not a bruiser.

Evans still needs a few more 100 yard efforts to get to 4th in the AFC in receiving yardage.

Our offensive line Vs your D line is a big matchup, if we can control there we have a chance to score some points. Cleo isn't going to be great but if he has time he can make some decent throws. With Ronnie out it becomes even more important for the offensive line to open holes because our backups aren't going to create something out of nothing like Ronnie can.

Defensively our pass rush has been non existent all year though we get our pass rushing DT Holliday back this week so that may help. Our secondary is simply not that good so if we can get to the QB we have a chance to cover them up..... If let a QB just sit in the pocket and read there are going to be some open guys down the field as the game goes on.

Basically IMO this game is all about controlling the LOS on both sides of the ball, because we just don't have the play-makers at the skill positions on either side to win it any other way.

Special teams is big as well and I'm surprised this guy didn't mention that. Our kickoff coverage unit is the worst in the league and our punt coverage is ranked 17th..... In the return game Ginn has the speed to take anything to the house but his blocking has been inconsistent at time and downright awful at others. Our special teams coach Keith Armstrong is probably going to get the axe this offseason because this unit has been extremely disappointing.
