When did they expand the AFC East to 7 teams and kick out Miami and the Jets?

Thanks. I went through all of the effort to put in the standings and screwed up on the title?

Well, the slight bad news is that only 5 of the teams listed make the playoffs - there isn't an AFC West team in there.

Nothing we can do about AFC West other than wait but two of the teams we still play and can improve our chances upon - Browns and Jaguars. I think the Patriots have the division even if Brady trips and falls breaking both legs over Belichick's video camera.

That is all that matters the W-L Record not whos playing a damn position. Congrats to the Bills for acc competing for the playoffs. Woo Hoo feels good

NFL Tonight had us above Cleveland - which we should be. We have a much better Conference record.

Yeah baltimore is out of the picture for now. Hopefully they keep losing.

You are correct.

Tie breaker rules.

Two Clubs
1. Head-to-head, if applicable.
2. Best won-lost-tied percentage in games played within the conference.

Bills are 5-3, Browns are 3-4. I took the standings directly from NFL.com

How? Cleveland looked very impressive in a last second loss at Pittsburg and we look pitful against a winless team.

Conference record won't matter against Cleveland 'cause we play them. But for now, I'll take it!

Yeah, usually at this time of the year we would be 3-6 and some of us would be asserting that we are not yet mathematically eliminated from the playoff hunt yet! Ahh, it feels good to still have a shot midseason!

After the NE game we're at 5-5.

It simply comes down to winning 5 of our last 6 to get into the playoffs, and that loss can't come against Jags or Cleveland most likely. If we have to drop any of our last six, I hope its to one of the 3 remaining NFC East teams.

In reality we are 7th and Browns 8th with AFC West leader 4th the way the NFL plays the game.

I hate to bring up the past but...WE COULD BE 7-2! I really feel the team has played well enough to garner serious playoff talk!

Chargers beat Colts so they are the same 5-4 that Bills and Browns are except they lead the AFC West.
