Holding?

I don't know, man. I always thought holding was bit of a lame call on kick returns. I know every man counts, but still, the guy is still a threat whenever the ball is in his hands. Some people just don't like to hear it.

Did you hear the announcer when he blew by the guy who looked like he might have the angle?? I think he said "wow"

Of course when you haven't won a game, they are all getting called back

Liked Ginn in College, still like him now.. The Bills know how dangerous he is they wouldnt kick the ball to him with 46 seconds left..

I'm sorry to have to do this, but statistical evidence prevails yet again...

And of course Thomas is not a normal kick returner, he was the guy you guys kicked short too because you were scared of our actual return men.

Once again, is there really any argument here?

I honestly don't know, but I could find out... the point is I'm not the one bringing this up and acting like Ginn is something more than he is at this point.

And since you asked...

Kick return stats as a rookie:

10 returns for 261 yards, 26.1 yard avg. Long of 45 yards.

Punt return stats as a rookie:

14 returns for 186 yards, 13.3 yard avg. Long of 43 yards.

Told ya, DraftBoy. Somebody actually doesn't respect Ginn's returning ability.

Both are above Ginn's current averages, and Ginn was the #9 pick in the 1st Rd.

Roscoe was the #55 pick overall...

No, you misunderstand my friend. I respect it, and know he can be dangerous... I just wouldn't be bragging about it at this point since he really hasn't done anything as of yet.

He has had one past midfield I can recall plus two TD's called back for holding. Neither hold seemed to spring him either which makes it suck worse

The bragging may be premature, but I'm glad we have him. Besides Amobi Okoye, there wasn't a better pick at 9. We're getting Glenn Dorsey, who's going to be the best DT to ever play the game, so it's all good.

Yeah man! This kid is scary. Welker use to take it farther, but Welker never had the speed to take it the distance. He may have been lucky to get one TD a year. Ginn already has 2 TDs called back through nine games. He's not Hester, but he sure is dangerous!

His two Returned TDs have been called back due to Penalties.

And he should have caught a TD pass on that play in which he was wide ****ing open.
But we have Cleo Lemon who cant throw a pass over 15 yards.

Perhaps for you there wasn't a better pick, because I certainly think there were more talented players that went after Ginn... they may not have fit your percieved needs at that time however.

Whats funny is fin fans are trying to show there first round pick as being a great kick returner. Good job guys! You better hope he turns into a better WR than a KR...

LtFinFan66
11-12-2007, 09:16 AM
No one said he was a great NFL KR....yet....but the promise is most definitely there and you caught a glimpse yesterday

DraftBoy
11-12-2007, 09:23 AM
He'll be a great KR one day and a dangerous fly pattern/burner guy, However I dont think and Ive maintained this same line of thinking since January, that he'll ever become a #1 WR that you would take with the #9 pick. I of course have been wrong before, but I dont see it in him. His routes have improved from what Ive seen. But he still has a long way to go WR wise.

well you have never been high on Ginn anyway DB but that is a fair review

That's what they said about Dan Wilkinson

I don't think anyone is stupid enough to second guess his talent as a return guy, he clearly has elite speed and appears to have pretty good vision. It's him as a WR that is in quesiton, I don't think he'll ever be that great of a WR.

But he, like every rookie get three years to show what he's made of. If he turns out to be the second coming then I'll gladly give him credit when it's due.

I dont think Dorsey is lazy though.

Still he'd be the best DT we would have here since Tim Bowens was young.

Getting Dorsey is a no brainer.

And yeah Reid is scared ****less of Ginn now.
