11 Sun. Nov. 18 8:15 pm ET Patriots

I think if we were to pull off the SHOCKER against New England, we definitely make the playoffs.

With that said, we'd probably just pull a Buffalo and lose the next week to the Jags for the letdown.

If the Jaguars lose to San Diego next week, we can really set them on a debilitating losing streak by beating their asses in the subsequent week. With games at Colts, vs. Panthers and at Steelers after us, their season could be over. And, along with Ten and Cle, they are our biggest threats. Have to get by two of those three ****ers.

If we win out after losing to the Pats, that's 11 wins. That gets in easily.

I dunno Op, I don't think 11-5 is necessary for the wild card, especially with head-to-heads against Cleveland and Jax. 10-6 would get us in DEFINITELY I believe. We could also get in with 9-7, but that's when we start to need the heavens above to lend a hand.

if we lose to either the Jags or the Browns it will be almost impossible to make the playoffs. Counting those two games, there are only 7 games left and we'd have to get two games up on them because they'd have the tiebreaker.

11-5 is the only way to ensure it. We'd need a lot of help at 10-6 or 9-7. That opening conference loss to Denver on the final play is going to kill us, just like 2004 against Jax.

Yeah, I have to agree with you there. And you knew it as soon as it happened. Typical.

Who knows, maybe we're due to overcome the bull**** finally. I mean, we are DUE.

                        Very well done.

Jags and Browns are obviously the key road games left that will ultimately determine our playoff fate. But we are going to have to play much better than we did in NY and MIA to have a chance of winning these two games.

Jags defense is for real - but they are somewhat of a jekyl and hyde team and seem to play better on the road than they do at home anyway.

Browns - this is one of the better offenses we will face all season. Defensively they are very weak though.

Titans have a great defense - but right now Vince Young is struggling mightily with 1 TD and 8 INT's since coming back from his injury, regardless he still gives that team the best chance to win. They will be a factor down stretch as well....

Keep in mind that we'd only have to get up on two of the Browns, Titans, Jags trio. We can concede the 5th seed to one, but we have to beat out the other two.

This is assuming the 4-5 teams continue to sink, of course. I personally think those teams are out of the Wild Card hunt (west teams still have a shot at that division though)

Beating those two times probably permits us to lose another along the way.

If Buffalo loses to the Patriots, then wins out the remaining 6 games of the schedule, they don't need much help. The Bills play the Jags. If the Bills beat the Jags and win out, the Jags can't have a better recored and the Bills have the first tiebreaker. The Bills also play the Browns. If Buffalo beats them, and wins out after the Patriots, the Bills end up with a better record as well as the tiebreaker. Tennessee would by winning out be seeded ahead of Buffalo, but there are two wild card spots. The Broncos, Texans, and Chiefs could factor in if they win out, but Buffalo has the first tiebreaker on Baltimore. I'm too lazy to look at the tiebreakers that would go into effect with the Texans and Chiefs. The Broncos have the first tiebreaker on Buffalo. I would guess Buffalo has as much chance as any of them, and maybe a better chance to win out after NE, if Losman plays more like the Cincinnati game and less like the Miami game..
I've made up my mind. Don't confuse me with the facts.

I'm the most reasonable poster here. If you don't agree, I'll be forced to have a hissy fit.
