    2008 Free Agents

I know it's too early for this, especially now that we're sort of in playoffs hunt and all. But damn look at some of the FAs we can bring in next season to give JP/Edwards some weapons.

    Bernard Berrian, UFA, Chicago Bears
    Patrick Crayton, UFA, Dallas Cowboys
L.J. Smith, TE, UFA, Philadelphia Eagles
Eric Johnson, TE, UFA, New Orleans Saints
    Keary Colbert UFA Carolina Panthers
    D.J. Hackett UFA Seattle Seahawks
    Brandon Stokley UFA Denver Broncos
    Ben Troupe UFA Tennessee Titans

Imagine Evans on one side and Berrian on the other, with LJ Smith as our pass catching TE? That's JP's wet dream right there......

I say go after L.J. Smith and draft a #2 wide receiver.

I wouldn't mind Crayton. Sometimes he doesn't get the credit he deserves because of who he plays behind.

I doubt the Cowboys let Patrick Crayton go. I can't believe they haven't secured him yet!!!

Smith would be a great fit.

But rather than spend big bucks on Berrian, I'd rather get a nice solid #2 WR who can go over the middle and score in the red zone.

THis could be a lot of fun. We got a lot of cap room, we're going to pick up a player or draft pick(s) when we trade Losman (IMO).

Our defense is young and talented. the bills NEED more talent on offense.

I think TE and #2 WR are obvious things to address in FA this year.

Hackett and Colbert are realistic possibilities. Colbert has the experience of playing with Steve Smith, so he'd make a comfortable #2 next to Evans. Question... who of Royal, Reed and Price will realistically get cut to make pursuing a WR or TE a possibility?

What we need at WR2 is a big possession type guy who can run block, like a young Keyshawn Johnson.

The Answer is a PP fan - but he is likely finished given the injury he suffered at his age.

There is no reason to cut Reed; he is a very solid #3 guy.

Get a #2 WR and a TE in here. If the Bills dump JP, there will be no significant UFA's for the Bills. They can extend Lee and sign one or two guys. (Maybe a RG or C, but I think Butler is improving).

He got hurt in minny - bad luck for QB's there.

Price is done as a Bill and quite possibly with his NFL career.

None of the guys on that list will ever wear Bills uni's though.

Well, I shouldn't say that- you never can tell who will end up as a depth signing late in their careers.

But none of them will be Bills in 2008.
