    In my mind, we're a borderline 7-2 team w/ a 5-4 record

We really didn't lose the Denver / Dallas, we gave the games away. In my mind they we're ours for the taking and in the last 3 games the bills have a 38-0 4th quarter scoring streak.

    Can you say lesson learned??

      Goes both ways.

Miami GAVE us that game Sunday. The good teams win more they should then they give away.

We're getting there, but have a way to go. I think you end up where you deserve to. Dallas and Denver shouldn't have COME DOWN to last second field goals. WE made a lot of mistakes, especially in offensive execution and play calling.

At the end of the day, we COULD have won those games, but you cant say we deserved to. Denver and Dallas made the late 4th quarter plays, we didnt.

Just like Miami did to losing to us.

        Re: In my mind, we're a borderline 7-2 team w/ a 5-4 record

The flip side, per Dick Jauron:

Bills coach Dick Jauron gave a very honest answer today when asked about Patriots counterpart Bill Belichick asserting that he deserves consideration for coach of the year for keeping the Bills afloat amid myriad injuries; they’re two last-second field goals away from being 7-2.

“That’s nice of him,” Jauron said. “When people say things like, ‘We could be 7-2,’ I also say to them, ‘We could be 0-9.’ We’ve played things very close, except against the Patriots the first time, that wasn’t particularly close. And Pittsburgh (a 26-3 loss), that got out of hand in the third quarter. But other than that, our games have been close. I’ve always thought you can argue the one side that we could be 7-2, but you’ve got to look at the other side, too. I think we are where our guys deserve to be. They’ve played awfully hard, awfully hard, just to get us back to some form of respectability.”

One one hand, we could be 7-2.

On the other hand, our O has been so bad that we don't even deserve to be 5-4.

So, overall I think it balances out.

            Could've, would've, etc..

In my mind, we're an improving young team despite several injuries.

IMO, we're a borderline team with a 5-4 record. I will go even further to say that this will remain the same until we resolve the QB issue. I think of greener pastures! RFA, Derek Anderson anyone?

How does "up and coming" sound? .... Except ownership and management needs to treat our comtributors better!!!

                  Up and coming for sure.

I hope they let Dick stay around for a while. If he changes a couple things, maybe the OC, we could be great in the next couple years.

I think if Dick doesn't can the OC he should be out too. We don't need another Gregg Williams.

Yeah I've not been impressed with Fairchild's offense.
