ANAHEIM, Calif. -- The Anaheim Ducks placed backup goaltender Ilya Bryzgalov on waivers Friday and recalled Jonas Hiller from the Portland Pirates of the AHL. If no team claims the 27-year-old Bryzgalov, he'll be sent to Portland. Bryzgalov, the backup to Jean-Sebastien Giguere, appeared in nine games this season. He was 2-3-1 with a 2.55 goals-against average and a .909 save percentage.
i think he'd be a decent pickup, should anyone claim him.

He would be a good pick-up. He did very well for them when JS was out in the Playoffs a year and 2 years ago.

I did a serious double take when I read that in my e-mail. I'm shocked that he is on waivers and I'll be more shocked if he lasts more than a few days.
I would take him by far over Thibault.
He is a funny guy, too!

I would take him over Thibault as well but I doubt the Sabres would dish out the money for him, especially since he will obviously be the backup.

He's an UFA after this year.
..ok, so i get pretty intoxicated earlier with a few friends because my parents are out of town and apparently i traded hasek for bryzgalov straight up in my fantasy team.... unreal

T-BO isn't a bad backup, but you are right, Bryz is better.
