The Buffalo Bills have averaged 27 arrests per game so far this season at Ralph Wilson Stadium. Officials there ejected or turned away 126 fans on Nov. 4, a game that had an average number of arrests, according to The Buffalo News.
The San Diego Union Tribune reported 100 people were arrested or cited at the Chargers' Qualcomm Stadium in September.
"The number of arrests at our game is misleading," the Chargers said in a statement. "We had nearly 70,000 people enjoying our football game and only 22 alcohol-related arrests. Three-quarters of the arrests were actually citations given for glass containers in the parking lot or smoking in the stadium."
Another published report said 53 people were arrested when the Oakland Raiders played the Chargers at Qualcomm last month.
Thirty-four people were arrested at the same matchup in 2006.
Authorities arrested 43 people and ejected 79 people when the Chargers played the Kansas City Chiefs at home in 2006, according to information published by Kansas City Star reporters.
But it's not bad news everywhere. The Chiefs, for example, averaged five arrests a game at Arrowhead Stadium in 2005 and seven arrests a game in the two most recent seasons, according to Kansas City Star reports.
Closer to home, police on the University of Wisconsin campus arrested 12 people and ejected another 41 people during the Badgers contest against Michigan.
"Between 15 and 20 arrests is pretty average for us," said UW Police Lt. Eric Holen.
