    Bills like underdog label

Donte Whitner has been a member of the Buffalo Bills for barely a year and a half, but he has already gained a keen sense for the culture of losing that has engulfed the franchise for the better part of seven years.

"Nobody ever gives us a chance around here," Whitner said in reference to the pessimistic local media and frustrated fan base a few days before tonight's showdown with the New England Patriots that will be contested in front of a sure-to-be crazed sell-out crowd at Ralph Wilson Stadium and a national Sunday Night Football television audience.

"We like that, though," the strong safety continued. "We don't want people going in and saying, 'Maybe Buffalo can upset New England.' We want them to say, 'Yeah (New England) is going to blow Buffalo out.'"
Whitner might want to be careful what he wishes for.

"We're going to play our game, and whatever our game gives us, we'll see what happens at the end," said defensive tackle Larry Tripplett.

"It's the world stage, an undefeated team coming in here, and we're getting ready to play the game of our lives," said free safety George Wilson.

Did he even understand what he said?
I didn't come here to fight, I hate fighting. Life is way too short to spend it on fighting! Go fight with yourself, one of you will eventually win!

No, Sal did not understand the statement. He either "heard what he wanted to" or he blantly just took it out of context. Typical media move right there.
