Ladies and Gents,

The New England Patriots are the best single season team ever assembled in National Football League history. It is men vs. boys when they play. No team will challenge them the rest of the season and no team will beat them in the playoffs. They will go 19-0 and we will be talking about them as perhaps the greatest sports team of all time.

the quicker you deal with it, the easier it'll be when it happens

yeah well the people who saw the Germans invade Poland in 1939 also witnessed history. It's not always a good thing to witness history.

No one can ever say again that bringing in star players doesn't work.

We may not like the Patriots, but what they are doing is truly amazing.

what's worse is that it will be like this for the next 3 to 5 years.

That's a ***** way to look at it. Your team is beating the **** out of everyone. If you dont win the superbowl. You choked. HUGELY.

this is precisely why pat's fans suck. they hardly follow their team before this run, and then go to other team's boards just to "talk smack". there hasn't been more annoying "fans". the pats could win the next 10 superbowls, but most NFL fans would never acknowledge a team of punks and their flavor of the month fans as anything higher than horse*****.

typical Pats fan- the second the Pats have an 11-5 season, you'll be rooting for the Red Sox again and talking about how the Patriots suck.

nah, not true. its a cop out, acutually if we do not go 19-0, i will be pissed. i am just in a daze over 3 superbowls, 2 world series, and anything beyond that is just running the score up

what's worse is that it will be like this for the next 3 to 5 years.

Not if the league is truly committed to parity. They'll find a way to break it up.

The question is, Mr. Goodell, are you?

You have to add the caveat, "if Tom Brady stays healthy".

The league isn't committed to parity.

There's NE.

Then there's Indy, Pittsburgh and arguably Dallas.

At the bottom, there's St. Louis and Miami

In between there's parity but the NFL doesn't seem too concerned about having extremes on either side.

I'm really not even upset about it. It was like watching a ****ing force of nature.

They'd be the single greatest team ever to play the game if they weren't such a classless organization from the top down. They deserve no respect. Brady cries and throws a tantrum when any little thing doesn't go his way, they cheat, they run the score up, which is completely unacceptable. If you have the game won and you have 4th and 1, you kick the FG and continue, you don't keep drilling it on 4th down. The whole "well why shouldn't we if they can't stop us" line is crap -- those who founded and coached and played in the league back in it's original days know that. It's called sportsmanship, showing common respect for THE GAME, league, and opponent. The NFL has become way too big for it's own good and I wish a new league would form that could be like the NFL was meant to be.

Unfortunately, the only way it would work is if you got a current NFL team to defect. Otherwise you get an XFL or a USFL that plays very good football but can't outspend the NFL teams.

...or Bellicheat.... either one goes down and it will be a happy day for everyone on the planet outside of Boston.

Sadly, this is a very true statement.

my team this year was winning 52 - 0 at the end of the first half, we stopped punting, we stopped kicking field goals. i called dive plays (0 passing attempts in the 2nd half) , we told the defense to get down (not return it) if they get a turnover, and if we hit 4th down, had the qb take a knee.

ended up winning 52-0.

No one got hurt. and we all walked away friends. there were no fights on the field, no smart talking (we don't tolerate that anyway). That's how you win a blowout with class.

this was classless.

part of why i loved the 90's bills, was that they COULD have blown teams out like this, but they would pull the throttle WAY back once they got up on a foe.

they were a class organization.

tonight was a disgrace. both for the pats (how they acted), and from the bills (for how they played).

Well put, Ingtar.

The real losers will be the ad men, when people turn the Super Bowl off at the end of the first quarter in disgust.

Then the league will have to do something about it.

We may not like the Patriots, but what they are doing is truly amazing.
How did we get to this point? The Bills were dominant for many years over the Patriots. How did such a 180 degree turnabout occur, and how do we build a machine in Buffalo such as the Patriots now enjoy? How do we turn things around?

Can this even happen with two very aged men in charge of the team?
